The brief
A self-initiated piece. I wanted to push my sports graphics and compositing, and see how far I could take a single raceday visual built from scratch.
What I did
I layered car, driver and track shots with texture, light and type, and used some of Photoshop's newer tools to speed up the heavy lifting. The hard part was getting lots of separate elements to sit together naturally, so it reads as one image rather than a collage.
My role
Personal project, start to finish.
The result
It sharpened my compositing and retouching, and I've used those techniques on client work ever since.
